I feel like this episode was made for me specifically lol. I love Linker's thoughts on Strauss, I'm sure he's read the man much more thoroughly than I have so it's gratifying to hear that we have a basically similar line on the question of his allegiances. The far-right take on him where he's *just* a secret illiberal, maybe even a fascist seems wrong to me too, but I can't definitely say that he's *not* saying that either! I'm less familiar with Berlin, but Trilling is one of my guiding lights politically as an actor in a liberal republic as well as someone whose aesthetics I respect enormously but don't quite agree with. Keep up the good work!
